I do love her tips on tethering, crating, and the general idea of "sit to say please."
Have you read it? | I haven't read it but it looks like one that I would be interested in picking up. I've always been one to enjoy reading up on and learning as many techniques as possible when it comes to training. With Cato being as sensitive as he is though it's always nice to see what other dobe owners are reading so I can add to my training library and techniques.
The idea of a "sit to say please" intrigues me, sounds like something that would work in my home. Amazon, here I come. Although, Cato isn't much of a puppy anymore... Think it's still worth picking up?

If you are looking for good books, anything Patricia McConnell has written is worth reading. I also adored Kathy Sdao's new book, "Plenty in Life is Free."

| Holy cow! I knew you were inquiring about pups but didn't know it was really happening! Mr. Humpy is so freaking cute! Another boy Dobe has hit the dog lottery and SCORED with you as an owner. I can't wait to hear more about his progress and what his temperament's like.
PS - I'm sure I speak for us all when I say MORE PHOTOS. NOW.

I also LOVE the dinosaur fleece!! | I bought "Plenty in Life is Free" and I very rarely buy books, if that says anything. I loved it and have loaned it to several people who have also loved it. It's not really a "training" book. It's more of a "how do we think about our dogs" kind of book. More like Patricia McConnell's "For the Love of a Dog" than like her training books, if that makes sense.

| Richter is turning out to be a pretty easy puppy so far. His only flaw is wailing like a banshee when he gets crated (but not when it's overnight, which is weird). Otherwise, he's pretty darn easygoing and good.
A few pictures from this morning:
So refined...
Ah, an ex-pen, huh?
Think twice about that idea!

But she's been very good with him, tolerant, etc. She was, however, glad to get out of the house last night for Nosework class!
