Good job socializing your puppy. To keep on track take puppy to classes when he is ready. This is a great confidence booster. Also don`t make over puppy when he is frightened . For instance aw poor puppy etc. Just ignore. Give treats around areas he is afraid of.
Ear posting. How old is he? Where do you live? Find a doberman mentor in your area. There are people here on the board that can help guide you to someone who can help. Vets are not usually the most knowledgeable with ears and posting.
You can try posting a picture here also, but the best is to find an expert to help you. I am sure others will post too.
