Hip_Shot_Hanna is on a distinguished road
Is it advisable to get

Torque a straight parvo vaccination now that he's six months old? I know that was often advised because dobes and rotties have a susceptibility to parvo.

I'm just garnering opinions here - I know the arguments for and against over vaccination, but wonder in this case as Torque is a male dobe.

Thanks!

HSH

If he's already had a series of 4 shots, given 3-4 weeks apart (the standard puppy series), then I wouldn't vaccinate again until 12 months after the last shot in that series. I booster at that point, then make decisions from there about how often to re-vax in the future.

But the best thing to do is consult with your vet.

If you are concerned about his current level of protection, the other thing you could do is a parvo titer - we typically use Colorado State Univ. Lab.
But I agree w/ Murreydobe, best to consult your vet.
