Torque gets so close to the woodburning stove.. he literally stands sometimes with his nose only about four inches away. I was watching him the other day and all of a sudden he jerked and then began scratching at his neck like crazy. I finally figured out.. it was his rabies tag on his collar, it had gotten hot and zinged him!

And yes, he has actually touched his nose to it once. I wasn't there - DH was and said he jumped away and snorted and pawed at his nose. I guess it's a really good thing that his nose is very wet - there's no damage done!

Poor baby! Zaccy is the opposite - he's terrified even of the radiator and will walk all the way round the outside of the room to avoid passing it. As for the stove, when that goes on the whites of his eyes roll. I'm having a very cold winter!
