Question - Addie is 6 months old on Friday but she's ony 41 pounds. Is that a bit light?

With her orthopedic issues, I would recommend keeping her slim - as being overweight will only put extra strain on her joints.
Appropriate weight can vary from dog to dog based on height, shape, bone structure, condition, etc.

With the leg problems light it probably good for her, less strain. It does seem a bit small for the age but then I am sure females are smaller. How does her body condition look? Does she look thin?

No she looks good. Doc says just right too. She just seems smaller than most dobies of this age. Especially the males.

The girls are often quite a bit smaller than the boys
As long as she looks good, I wouldn't worry about it.

One other thing. She often tries to bite her back legs alot. She'll even spin like she's chasing her tail to grab her legs. Is this a normal Dobie thing or is this something related to her leg problems?

Parker bites his back feet some and licks them. I, too, wonder about this.

Lestat chases his imaginary tail sometimes to the point of making his self dizzy.
