With her orthopedic issues, I would recommend keeping her slim - as being overweight will only put extra strain on her joints.
Appropriate weight can vary from dog to dog based on height, shape, bone structure, condition, etc.
With the leg problems light it probably good for her, less strain. It does seem a bit small for the age but then I am sure females are smaller. How does her body condition look? Does she look thin?
One other thing. She often tries to bite her back legs alot. She'll even spin like she's chasing her tail to grab her legs. Is this a normal Dobie thing or is this something related to her leg problems?
