i wish i'd known how much he'd worm his way into my heart. he was to be a family pet, but i assumed he'd attach to the person with dog experience - my significant other. instead, i find he's very protective of me, is more excited to see me after work than he is to see Chris, and generally looks to me for guidance in most new experiences.

i also was NOT a dog person before this, but wanted to get over my fear of dogs, so we got a puppy. the decision taught me quite a bit about myself, dogs, and how to deal with my own temper when something frustrates me to no end. i never anticipated that.

Same here, I've learned a ton about myself and dogs and had to change myself a lot, but it has been all for the better. I've only just begun, but I can already imagine that my next puppy (many years from now) will be SO MUCH EASIER to raise!

interesting to read Sacha is attached at the hip... never had a dog that way... love it but still awkward when using the bathroom lol jk she's a love bug.
