Posted ears and rain

I dont know how others have dealt with rainy days with posted ears but I have found something that works to keep the tape dry. Press and seal plastic wrap! I had tried sandwich bags, plastic wrap, holding an umbrella over him all with different levels of success or not. I still have to hold a beach umbrella over him and walk him into the yard or he wont go out till hes about to bust! The press n seal wrap works great in additon to the umbrella because it catchs the rain that blows or bounces off things! Dry tape means less retaping. We had over a solid month of rain daily this spring, i didnt have him then but can you imagine trying to housebreak a pup that hates rain when its raining from a mist to a downpour all day for a month!

I broke my ankle 2 yrs ago and was in a "boot" for a couple months. I used Glad Press n Seal on my boot when I would go out to see my horses. It worked great and kept the boot sparkly clean. I even brought in a piece of it to my orthopedic surgeon and showed him so he could tell others.

That is ingenious. Wish I had thought about it myself. I ended up using sandwich baggies and scotch tape, lol. I was unlucky enough to have what seemed like endless rainy days during the posting period so I went through baggies like crazy. Now that Bane's back up in posts for a bit, and the weather man is calling for rain, I'll be trying your method. Thanks!

Huh, you're a genius! Great idea that I never would have thought of.

That's a great idea - thanks! It rains here frequently, and usually it's also windy at the same time, so an umbrella only semi-blocks the rain - this will help immensely! Thanks, again!
