i've been meaning to post these photos here. she's almost 11 months old and coming out of her first heat. we survived it without any love sick males (thankfully, i think, to the chlorophyll capsules)! and yes, we're still working on those floppy ear tips. enjoy her pics!

This is the first time we've owned a female dog, so I have a question - what are the chlorophyll capsules for and do you just give her them on a daily basis once her heat starts? We are going to spay Elli, but based on the advice I've seen on this forum, we're going to wait until 2 or 3 months after her first heat, so thought I'd ask now so I'll be prepared. | |

| Thanks everyone. She really has grown up! The RAW diet did wonders on her coat. She stands at about 25" tall and weighs 61 lbs. Quote:

I started giving them to her as soon as I noticed her vulva swelling (which was about 1.5 - 2 wks before she started bleeding). I only gave one 100mg capsule with her food (she eats anything in her bowl). I know some people give two, but I don't know what dosage. We still watched her like a hawk, though. She was never out of our sight and was on a leash anytime we were outside. | |
