| | Big Pup | Strange eating behaviour... So my 4 month old dobie started eating in a weird way this morning...
He usually eats everything in his food bowl... but this morning, he would fill up his mouth, walk away from the bowl, drop the food out of his mouth onto the floor... and then start eating. Walk back to the bowl... and repeat this process...

| My dobies don't do that, but my dachshund does. Strangely enough, my mom's dachshund does, too. |

| That is the one complaint I had from my parents when they watched Rudi for me while I went out to Phoenix for a week.
Rudi will eat straight from the bowl, and soooometimessss...............he takes a mouthful of food and goes into the living room to drop it on the floor and eat it.
Very weird........but I'm not in the least surprised. Big Red Goofy Boy.
**********Oh! and the whole sloshy drinking thing. But that will never change. He got a big bucket to drink out of......OUTSIDE!

| Lexx prefers to eat his kibble off the floor rather than from a bowl. Maybe try getting a mat and just putting the kibble straight on that? Might save the livingroom carpet! |

| My sister's rat terrier does that. He used to pick up his bowl of food to bring into the living room, set it down in front of the T.V. and eat his food. She had to get heavy feeding bowls so he couldn't pick it up. So, now he just gets a mouthfull of food to take in there. |

| | Alpha | Elli starts off eating out of the bowl and then ends up taking it out and eating off the wood floor - from the looks of it, eating off the floor is way more fun!
And the water - she seems to like to carry some in her mouth after she's done drinking and empty it on the next person/dog she comes to. :P |

| Isabelle used to flip her food bowl over so she can eat off the floor. She seems to prefer that I put her food dish on the edge where the carpet meets the tile in the kitchen that way she can lay down to eat - she lays on the carpet. We also got her different dishes - ceramic - heavier she can't flip 'em. |

| Lukas likes to knock his food bowl over to eat off the floor too, but not when i'm around, cause he knows hes not supposed to do it.
Lukas also drips his water everywhere, sometimes he lays down in front of it to drink, lazy boy. |
