| At this age, you have to think for them about going potty. If you left it up to them, they will wait to the very last possible second and just start peeing. They will have to pee after about everything they do. Waking up, eating, playing, napping. and sometimes even peeing.
We have our own potty song, we use, when we were training. Like sorthund state, you have to watch her, to make sure she goes. The great thing about this, you are teaching them to almost go on command. It really helps on those winter days when you do not want to be outside in it. Its a slow process at times. We started on a schedule of every 30 minutes to do out and then slowly increased the time.
When using a crate, remember not to give her too much room in it. Don't make it a two room apartment size. Just make it enough for her to turn around and able to lay down. If its too big, they will use one side to sleep and the other to potty in. By having it just big enough, they hate to lay in where they go potty. When they have to go, they will let you know. Mine had an accident once in the crate and she screamed bloody murder when it happened. She hated sitting in it. Now she lets us know before hand.
