White bump on the side/inside of the left side of nose...

Hi!

Over the last few days Danté has (he is 5 months old) a white pimple looking sort of bump on the side/interior of the left side of his nose.

Is this 'pimple' of sorts or do I definitely need to take him to the vet for.... He does not seem to be in pain about it but I can tell the inside of that nostril is swollen.

Is it an adolescent pimple of sorts? :confused2

Is it smooth or does it look more like a tiny cauliflower? Are there any others, maybe inside his mouth or around the gumlines or on his tongue? Can you get a photo of it?

Has he been going to puppy classes anytime in the last 4 weeks?

It's smooth. And it's the only one I see. He has not been aware except our backyard since it appeared.

Could it be an adolescent pimple of some kind?

Now that I think about it he did have contact. He was walking up too close to my Great Dane/Lab mix and she gave him a warning bite on his snout. She trusts my Rat Terrier but they have lived together for years. So, him and any person can walk by - but Danté has not earned that trust yet from her as he is a young punk

She did puncture the skin on his snout - the same side as the white bump has appeared on the outside/kind of inside of his nose. Could bacteria cause this - from Nike (my great dane mix) to him?

I guess to make sure this is nothing serious I will take him to my vet.... Love my Danté!

might be a grass seed or something sniffed up the nose something like a fox tail can travel inside the dog and cause damage.

Setaria the Cereal Dog Killer very important read for anyone with dogs.

A photo would help but the nip from the other dog may have something to do with it. It would depend on if the pimple is at the location of the nipped area. Either way a trip to the vet will alleviate your doubt. Good luck.
