Please meet Gem'Givveeon Anastasia

It's time to reveal her pedigree & introduce our new family member Gem'Givveeon Anastasia to you.
I was going to wait till she arrived, but can't wait for another six days to start looking for a call name for her..
As much as i love the name Anastasia, that's her offical name, so i need to find a call name easy to use

Anastasia is from Gem'Givveeon Dobermanns in Latvia

Info on the breeding >> ~GEM'GIVVEEON DOBERMANNS~
more info & photos here >> Puppies > Gem'Givveeon > Grand Mollis Armani x Gem'Givveeon Lambada > Mating

Plenty of photos of the litter here (Anastasia is the pink girl) >> A-litter Gem'Givveeon | Facebook

She is being shipped to us on the 12th and more updated photos will follow as soon as she arrives.

If you want to use part of her name, I thought of Asia or even Stasia.

She is one cute puppers. Good luck with her and you can tell your wife she has good taste--after all, she married you.

ETA: Latvia is in Asia, isn't it? A little more appropriate if it is, if I say so myself. LOL

Holy heck, they are a gorgeous litter - she is lovely!!! My sister's oldest friend is Anastasia. She also lives part of the year in Greece. We call her Stacy... but I think Tasi is cute for a little girl Dobe. How about Hera - or is that too common in that part of the world?

ummm.. Latvia is in Europe, not Asia. It sits a little North East of Poland off the Baltic Sea, West of Russia.

Congrats on the puppy! I'd be excited too I don't like to pre-pick puppy names, maybe have a couple possibilities, but I find it's always easier to name the dog once you see it and know the personality a little better.

Were you thinking of something cute and girly, short and easy, artistic... Anastasia is a beautiful name for the pup, but sure doesn't flow well for a call name.

I second the idea of needing something you can easily yell across a field without feeling like too much of a fool:-) You never know ...

"Annie" springs to mind, but waiting until you know her personality is probably useful.

Although you may want to think about name implications.

(I was recently told "Well, you can't name a dog Lucy and expect her to be well-behaved!")

..and without fail every single dog named Ella I have met has been a psycho of one sort or another... probably has more to do with the people who picked that name and raised that dog, but still those 4 letters are just a curse for a dog

How about "Anya"? "Stacey" and "Tasia" are nice too, or to go a different route you might could go with "Duchess" since the famous Anastasia was a Grand Duchess.

ETA: And Congratulations!!! She's a cutie!

I'd be inclined to call her Tazzy (from the Tasi part of her name), but I also like odd names.

She's absolutely beautiful, Iceman! CONGRATS! Can't wait to see arrival pics! Take LOTS!

How about something related to the Romanovs?

Duchess, Tsara (as in Tsar/Tsarina), Nikolaevna (was Anastasia's middle name, Nikola?), Russia?

we have been seriously thinking about something related to Romanovs...
Mostly because my wife has always been intrigued with the Romanovs story.

In fact last week when i was pestering her and she was refusing to even talk about getting a puppy, i told her that the pup is named Anastasia...
She turned around and said "wasn't that the name of the youngest Romanov girl?"
She has bought quite a few books about them in the past and even went ona a package holiday tour to Russia 3 years ago visiting their palaces and graves.

I am compiling a list of names so my wife can choose one, i will put Nikola on top of the list.
