Yes, call BRUDA! My pup is from her, and his crop is just incredible looking. I don't know who she uses (I never asked her), but whoever it is, they really know how to properly do a crop. I'm going to post new pics of my guy by tomorrow. In the pics he just turned 7 months, and his ears look incredible. I stopped posting at the beginning of 6 months, and they've been standing perfectly for a month and a half now. You simply can't go wrong with whoever she uses!

I'm pretty sure Sandy Hunter (Bruda) flies someone in to crop her litters. That wouldn't be an option for a single puppy owned by a newbie.

If no one here can provide the name of a vet practicing in Chicago or somewhere nearby, I'd contact the DPCA chapter club in Illinois..they definitely would be able to make a vet referral.

Yeah, that looks like a nice crop.

I think that they do a good job but my mom had the same problem with the ear wrap she ended up with a infection and had to remove the tape luckily the crop was short (fits her head) so they stood right away and never had to be wrapped again.

You could try Dr. Harold Reece in the City of Chicago his practice is Gold Coast Vet - he has been ear cropping for many years, I have not had my dogs cropped by him. I did take my older boy at the age of 16 months because I could not get one to stand- I was bringing him to Palos Animal Hospital where they were charging me $20.00 every 10 days to have the ear re-wrapped - FINALLY at the age of 16 months they had suggested Dr Reece - it cost me $60.00 to have his ear wrapped have not a clue what he did but I never had to have them wrapped ever again, ( I have a lot of money wrapped up in those ears).

Just make sure that if you do take to a local vet you ask what kind of experience that they have with ear cropping and that you want the ears to fit the dog, you can not put them back on once it has been done incorrectly.

Actually contacting Sandra Hunter from Bruda is not a bad idea, she might know of a local vet that does a good job.

I have also heard that the Vet in Allegan, MI Dr. Kenneth Main does a great job

Also just seen the post from "LuvnMyDobeAndDoxie" and my mom had her dog ears done at Archer in Lemont not a bad job at all.....
