| | Banned | I personally think that is NOT the right way. I had a doberman years ago and the vet used tape under his chin and he ended up getting cherry eye from it bacause it got tight during the night and popped his third eye lid out. I would never put anything tight like that under my pups chin!
does he still have stitches you said? If so he should be posted at all. if his stitches are out then he should be posted the regular way. |

HAHAHAHAA!!!!! I was thinkin' the same thing!!
but I personally wouldn't recommend posting those ears until the stitches are out and the scabs of dried and fallen off.
Leave them be, and let them dry out while they're heal |

| | Alpha | That's a seriously old fashioned way to post. Our first Dobe way back when had hers like that, but only the first wrap.
Cute little baby you have there. |

| I've never seen anything like that in my life! That poor little guy!! Until the stitches are out we always leave them tape free to get air so they will heal quicker. also that under the chin isn't necessary. I just hate it when your average vet gets their hands on our little guys for posting. Need to buy stock in tape!!
I'm sure he'll survive, but its way over the top. Make sure to keep an eye that they aren't getting infected or stinky. |

| | Big Dog | I agree, that looks...well....not right. Khloes vet is also a great dane breeder, she does all her own pups ears, and she said to leave it open to the air for 7-10 days. BUt she had also glued Khloes ears to a styrpfoam cup. After the 7-10 days i brought her in for stitch removal, than I began taping. I would ask your breeder what they think...mayby they used the same vet. |
