Trick for removing ear taping

Hello dobe owners i mostly read here dont post much but i see some of you say that the tape pulls some hair out. I read somewhere on the web this guy puts cooking oil on the bandages right before he is about to take them off waits 5 min or so and it releases the glue. Im in the process of taping ears and i do this and it works great. Try it

Yeah, oil works great. Years ago I read where some model said that "spray oil" makes muscles show up "that you didn't even have." So of course since then I have a bottle of jojoba spray oil in my bathroom.

I'm not sure what made me think of it, but that's what I've been using on the pup's ears. The spray makes it easy to get on. I just pull some tape until it starts to stick to him, spray on the oil, and move to the other ear for a couple of mintues while it soaks in. Works great, and he smells nice too.

There is no trick.

Use tape remover. You can get it at pharmacy's.
Or health care centres (depending where you live)

I would think that baby oil, rubbing alcohol, or even eye makeup remover (yip!), and Eucalyptus oil would remove it as well.

Be careful not to pull out too much hair, it often doesn't grow back .. or if it does, grows back with no pigment (white)

Soak it with WD40. That is what our breeder does. Does not hurt the dog.. tape comes right off. Have to have someone cover their eyes when you spay it.
