| | Alpha | I think these breeders sound like there on drugs. What a film flam run out the back door scam loony tunes the pair make. Instead of being sad be jubilant that you finally got to see the real them, and you got the chance to run and with your money in hand.
Could you imagine dealing with their shite, if anything came up with the pup over health issues or just plain help along the way. Everyone has a first dog. Honestly I think they sprinkle cocaine on there crumpets. Have patience and you interview the breeder too it is not a one way street. They have to meet your standards as well, not just you them. Chin up, your girl will be there one day and she will be the one. |

| too suspicious. maybe they didn't want to sell you the puppy because they've got a better offer - and they just want to use all those as excuses. what a scummy thing to do!
your lifestyle and the sacrifices you are willing to make for your new pup is evident that you will be a responsible dobe owner. so chins up, and take heart. you will have your dobe puppy one fine day. good luck with the search! |

| Yeah, Reisende mentioned what I was thinking--sounds like the husband had some sort of side deal for more profit worked out and he needed to get you out of the picture.
I'll add my sympathy to what's already been posted.
Also, again, just encouraging you to try to have faith that this happened for a reason, and great things are ahead.
Best luck--will be so great to have you back, hopefully soon, being able to give us a happy update on finding the right breeder (or rescue) and having a new dog friend in your life.

| | Alpha | I'm sorry this happened to you.
Another lifetime ago I responded to an ad in the paper for a rehome of a borzoi. The woman was incredibly rude to me(and I've never forgotten her since she was a name in borzoi world), but it wasn't even to the level you experienced and yet she was awful.
Let me say you DO NOT want a dog from people like that. I don't care if the freakin' pope blessed 'em.
You will find a dog hopefully w/someone who has the type of dog you like w/someone you wouldn't mind speaking to on a regular basis.
Best wishes on finding a nicer, BETTER breeder |

Actually, it is my occupation as an anlyalyst to do this. I finally learned that sometimes there is no reason why (it is what, it is!) and what it is = That breeder was not fit for you! Thank goodness you found out early...imagine what it would be like calling them with questions ,,it would have been like a nightmare. |
