Well we made it. CA to NY!! It wasn't easy but we made it! He was a very good boy all things considered.
First day the truck nearly overheated in the 115 desert heat. 2nd was all thunderstorms. (try getting a pup to pee in a thunderstorm when he's never seen rain) He slept while I drove. I exercised him big time AM and PM and lots of play breaks in between. He still had the zoomies like I've never seen. His only real issue was getting into junk outside....mostly eating cigarette butts (I posted a topic on this) He's settling down now though. He liked to try and chew everything in the motels. Moving with a teething puppy probably isn't in the top ten most recommended list!
It was a wonderful chance for socializing. He's SO good with people! And I must say, whenever I have him out, he is a real head turner!
Anyway, I'm exhausted...I don't know how many of you have moved cross country as a first time single Dober pup owner....but let's just say it takes a lot out of ya!! I've been napping 4x a day!
ps- here's a pic of his first motel experience! Unfortunately, I was too busy concentrating on the drive and taking care of him to snap many photos, but I'll try to post a few more!
