What techniques have you guys tried that you have had such good luck with?

Pics will come of Darma, but she had a bit of a skin rash when we picked her up, so we are waiting for that to clear up first.
No techniques, really... people suggested taking her out after everything she does. Eats, plays, sleeps, etc. And that's really been working. We've been taking her out about every hour, and also after everything she does.

As for the crating, it just gets easier. The first night we took her out every 2 hours, the next night, she only woke up every 4 hours. She's been waking up less and less every night. It's been less than a week and she's already sleeping 6+ hours.

Maybe we were just lucky. She doesn't even chew on her mat or anything.

I hope you have the same results!

Oh, I think you are lucky. Darma likes to chew on lots of things, especially toes.

Does anyone know if her eyes will stay green or not?

Most red Dobes I see have a nice amber color for their eyes...

But her green is just so pretty. Do all puppies start out with gray/green eyes like her?

And neither are my jump boots.

As far as the eye colour goes, Darma's are kind of a nice warm brownish; not light enough to be amber, but far from dark brown.

Congrats on the new puppy, she looks very health and happy!
Three flights of stairs - *ouch*

Just out of curiosity, where did you get her, and are you going to show her?
We'll be purchasing a new pup sooner or later, most probably pet quality. I will be going to a few more show this spring to see if I'd want to persue that or feel more confortable on work!?
