| Maybe a dumb question. But a question non the less. Here we go. They make all all kinds of supplement for all kinds of stuff (Skin, Hair, Bones Etc.) Does any one give or know of any supplements to promote cartilage growth in the ears of a cropped puppy? No problems just curious. |

| If after a pup has finished teething and the cartilage had not firmed up enough for the ears to stand some people will put their dog on calcium supplements. Can you discuss this with your breeder or Vet? |

| Yes, too much calcium could affect bone developement. That is why it is best to discuss the use of it with your Breeder or Vet. I have never used it on any of my dogs. If the ears are weak I just keep taping them until they stand. |

| Some breeders give Vitamin C to help ears. I did with my puppy. |

| My guess is this: if your dog is getting proper nutrition, you are being diligent to keep the ears well maintained, you are not in a rush to stop posting, and your breeder/vet is there to help you answer questions (or deal with infections) then the supplements are probably unnecessary. The body knows what the body is supposed to do.
PS: Not a dumb question. A dumb question is: What's an ear? |
