Well just if it looks correct or any concerns..this is the sires sister . Also does it look like this might be a good working line and show mix
very pleased with the mothers pedigree.
It looks like a lovely show pedigree but with the exception of a single RN I don't see any working or performance titles. I would ask Kettle Cove dobe owners what their working drive is like.
Also, i have probably missed a thread somewhere, but what are you wanting to do with your puppy? Agility, Obedience, Conformation, Schutzhund?
Can't read the mother's pedigree (too small) but the link you provided is 100% show, no working. Might be hard to get a sport dog from that, but you never know.
Halter monitor, echo on the heart, eye certified, thyroid normal, VWD clear. And hips will be done on the weekend after dad comes home. He also will be having a repeat on his echo done, I do this yearly. Mom is hip excellent, echo clear on her heart, thyroid normal.
both of the pedigrees you posted are show pedigrees that I can see. The first one is a lovely pedigree - but I don't know that it would be a pedigree I'd choose for a sport dog. I don't know the SA pedigrees that well, but it looks pretty much show to me.
For me, I wouldn't buy a pup from the mothers pedigree because of the very bottom of the pedigree. We have a member here that had very bad experiences with two different Jalar dogs that went back to Dexter von Franckenhorst (bad temperament) the Jalar line does in this pedigree. Also, another dog I would avoid so close up is Soquels Distant Thunder as he threw DCM in many many of his get. He is also in the very bottom of the mothers pedigree.
Both those pedigrees are show line pedigrees. I am not saying you can't get a sport dog from show lines (my boy does both) BUT you want proof that the dogs can work and those pedigrees don't show ANY working or obedience titles (except the single Rally Novice)
thank you. I'm really trying. . I feel because of the state I live in it has been very difficult for me to get in the door with breeders ..but I'm definetly learning about the importance of choosing a breeder and not the pup... for the female I'm leaning more towards a show dog if its high quality in six months as long as the house is stable I plan on getting a male so hopefully I can have a breeder lined out ..I finally have found local breeder who I click so very well with and she has an ipo 3 on her bitches title...wow I guess I am starting to get it.
the pup in question the owner swears the drive is there in this line.
but no I havent seen the proof.....
I
interesting combinations in both peds and together...........
have not seen RhoJack in a pedigree for some time.
some nice square, balanced dogs in the sires pedigree.
and seems to be a few agility and ob dogs produced from his sire and dam.
as to the dams pedigree, I recognize the SA dobes on the top side, and on the bottom side of the pedigree..Telstar had some pretty bitches, cannot remember if many competed in any OB, etc.
as to Dexter..............Royolyn and Holmrun both used him with great success.
Yes, it was the Jalar line that seemed to have the problem, which is what I said already. Adara is the one who had posted about her dogs from there. She had to put one or maybe both down because of aggression.
Believe Adara tells about it in this thread about another dog with Jalar lines that attacked this guy's girlfriend.
okay guys initially I had looker over this website because it has Paypal on it and was afraid this was a greeder but I have had a referral from a trainer and another breeder could you please take a look at what you think
What had she done with thus bitch beside breed her? Well, yes, she had a UkC championship, but that's not really hard to do.
Lacking on health tests...she's fine a couple, but why not the hips. They should be done before breeding, not after. Maybe she has had hips done, but just hasn't updated her website. Hoods can be done and IFS at two years.
I know the bitch in the very first pedigree you posted "Celtic Love." Haleigh is a stunning girl. Wish I could tell you more about the pedigree, sorry.
Yes exile and her sisters aren't the only ones with bad hips coming from that breeder.....
One dog I know who was 'rescued' from that particular breeder had hip dysplasia that the vet believed to be the result of being crated 24/7 at a bad time in the dog's development.
Heard enough horror stories from this woman, that I completely care less about the sometimes nice pedigrees she may have.
Asmit....Exile was here in Belgium some months ago for her mating with Alf...i trained her and she's a more then average dog ...The sire she used Alf vom Teufelshof which i saw myself is a MORE than average dog...
If we are gonna discuss health in peds why don't you show your dog's pedigree and we can discuss the "errors" in that one as well
Someone told me about this post and it was NOT dourden itself. Now normally i don't post at these forums or any other concerning that since it ain't worth my time and i've found out over the last 20 plus years the ones with the biggest mouth on a forum are usually the ones with the zero results on a competiton field. Now probably the groupies will start calling me names but i really don't care since as i said before "forumheroes" don't bother me AT ALL
