| Peanut butter kong - how much/how often? After reading here how much teething pups like the frozen pb kong, I decided to give it a try. Jackson is loving it! Question is, do I totally fill the kong (using the puppy size now) and is it ok to give every day? (too many calories?) I have been filling it in the am; throwing it in freezer then giving to him when I go back to work after lunch. trying to keep him occupied for the afternoon. he pretty much sleeps in the am, since we are up exploring the neighborhood by 6am. oh - is it ok to give the crunchy? or does it matter?
Thanks everyone, and have a safe and happy 4th of July! |

| haha full of peanut butter? that would be a real treat for my dobe!
I try to seal both ends with PB and fill the inside with kibble, then freeze. now I use mince meat (as I feed raw rotated with kibble) to fill the kong. he cleans it out quite well. |

| I have to agree on the filling it all the way being too much. I do fill mine all the way, but normally only give it to him for about 30 minutes, so he never gets it all out at once.

| 3. FREEZE IT! Very Popular! Try various combinations of canned food, gravy, noodles, rice and mashed potatoes mixed with food nuggets and freeze. KONGSICLES are a favorite with many hot dogs! Put a dab of peanut butter in the small end of the Kong to plug it. Turn it upside down in a cup. Fill it full of water, chicken broth or fruit juice and freeze. Cool doggies! Kongsicles are recommended for outdoor use. |

| Great ideas DLS ~ Thanks! will def try the canned food mixed. Will get extra kongs for my other kids and let them all have "kongsicles" this weekend. If they love that as much as they loved the watermellon, I will be in good shape! |
