did she have to pee at 5AM? If you want to get her acclimated to the crate at night, you may have to accomodate cries to pee until she settles in to a routine. If she associates it as a place she cannot go pee or get out, she might start soiling the crate. Depending on when you crate up for bedtime - 10 hours or whatever is a long time for a young dog to hold it. If it's not a cry to pee, then yes, wait and see if she stops and goes back to sleep.

I usually dont get more then 4 or 5 hrs of sleep a night so Kali is rarely in her crate. But yeah i do think that was her problem at 5'ish (she did have an accident) witch was actually suprising to me because we never had that problem while she slept in the bed with me. Last night was a little better but then again i didnt make it to bed till around 4 or 5 in the morning witch is my usual. and we were back up and around by 9am. I just didnt have to deal with this at all with Mars he went straight in his crate and slept all night from the first day i made him sleep by hisself.

diamond will become famous soon enough
It is just like a young child who is having a tantrum. They don't call their friends because it is fun and say "hey come over I have a new tantrum to show you," they do it for your attention. If you attend to them when they are acting out it will reinforce the negative behavior. You have to ride out the storm and continue to use the crate. Eventually you will have serenity.

Some mighty fine advice here, treats, feeding, blankies and toys...everything to please a babyDobe. I appreciate the reminders as it's been a while and I have a week and a bit before I'll be right there with you blitzkreig...ahh, sleepless or at least sleep-interrupted. It's all worth it ;-) You're doing great!
