| Colic remedies in puppies
So, I have a litter of 4 day old puppies and for the first 3.5 days everyone was great. Now there is one that cries a lot. I think he has colic. I have read about numerous "remedies" for colic, but I am having a hard time separating old wives tales from the real deal. I have manually stimulated him and put his belly on a warm water bottle (that calmed him for a while). Is there anything else that can be done?

| Has the bitch been checked for mastitis. She might have it in the breast the pup feeds from. That was one thing that happened to me.
The next was what one vet said was a massive dose of hookworms another said back injury, neither saw the puppy I don't think. But it hollared every breath for two or three days, I think, then died. It did have black stools. Mother was wormed before breeding but this was back in the '70's and wormer was no where near what it is now.
I don't remember if I took puppy to the vet now.
