| Your pup is so cute. I can't wait for my pup. I was wondering if you can use vet wrap on the ears to keep things a little cleaner looking. There are all kinds of colors and designs. |

I've only used it that one time, but it kept everything cleaner and "in-place" for about 5 days before I re-posted. I was happy with it. I don't really like it for the bridge though. Even if I left it loose it still seemed to tighten up and pull the ears inward a little bit, which I understand is not good. Thakoon's breeder recommends a bridge throughout the posting process, but I've also been told it's not really necessary. I'm using a bridge still, but the regular tape seems to work better for that part.
I'm re-posting a lot though, because it seems that his ears get the goo built up in them within 3 days or so. A bit of a PITA, to do it every 3-4 days, but I would rather check his ears and clean them more often, and have nice clean posts that are secure. I don't leave them down long though, just clean them, let them dry and right back into the posts.

A couple of other nice features too - the door opens from either side, there is an optional divider for crate training (you can see it behind Thakoon in that first picture), and there are also optional wheels available that are easy to attach and remove. The round thing on the top is a removable storage compartment. | Thanks for the info. I noticed the divider and am wondering how it works for training?

I didn't even use the first one (gives the smallest space). That's for small puppies I guess.. 8 weeks old, or a slightly smaller breed. As the puppy grows, you can move the divider to the next position to give more space, and finally move up to full-size. This gradual expansion is so that a very small puppy doesn't have a huge crate with lots of extra space where he can eliminate and still stay cozy dry and clean while he sleeps. It teaches them to "hold-it" and wait until they are let outside.
Thakoon is 12 weeks old now and I decided to just remove the divider all together. I think he likes the crate better now that he's got more room to stretch out in there. And he has yet to have an accident in his crate. YAY!

| Megs, I'm sorry I haven't been able to reply until now - this thread has been coming up as a blank white page for the past few days, and I just found out how to get around it.
Thak is too cute! And his ears are looking fantastic too! You are doing such a great job with him, and I can feel the love you have for him come through your pictures and posts. He is one lucky pup to have you as a mom!! |

I'm just happy to have him. He's a brat.. but still a wonderful addition to my life! So much fun. We were just playin' tug a second ago; he's not strong enough yet, but it won't be long before he's pulling me across the floor in my wheelie chair! Whee!

He is beautiful!!! Love the ears. | The Zonas tape can be ordered online, but this Nexcare stuff works pretty good. Thakoon's breeder uses white hockey tape, but I think it's sooo sticky/goopy!
