Any special considerations with him? allergies, flakiness? Although I can't recommend a shampoo for you, I can say that if you do the diluted apple cider vinegar rinse afterwards you will definitely see almost immediate results in the shininess and silky feel of his coat (at least I do after bathing).

we started using a product called 1st Impressions shampoo right from the start. It is a very gently mild shampoo and has been great - we bath our beast frequently and have no issue with dryness/flaking/itching with this shampoo. I think you have to order it online, though.

I've always used oatmeal based shampoos and had good luck even with flaky skin, I just pick up whatever looks good at the store honestly. I bathe dogs every 3-4 months

We also use the oatmeal based shampoos. We have had very bad skin issues with my girl and it works great for her!
