Our local natural pet food store is the only one in the area that I know of and its great. I'd much rather support small business, my family owes a small organics business so I am a little partial. But its better customer service and knowledge at those types of places. Plus this food store we go to have the widest variety of the best foods so its worth it
oh and they have 20% one item, any item every month so it makes food cheaper as well.

We feed Canidae ALS to both dogs and have for the last year.

I heard that Canidae was not bought out by Diamond but would be using Diamond facilities to manufacture?

Hi, I would not touch Iams or/and Eukanuba if it was the last food on earth, reason to --> IamsCruelty.com

But Do you have Burns where you are? Its really good.
Its all "natural" ingredients.
I Think Canada as something similar to Burns called Orijen i think it is.

How much do you feed a 12 week old puppy? I'm feeding him 2x per day - and about 1 1/2 cups Pro Plan (now we switched) and some wet food that he seems to love..... but like only about 2 tbsp of it on top!

Is this enough? He eats it all down but sometimes he just putz's around it but then goes back and finishes it?

Sorry, never had a bigger puppy before...... thanks.

Yes, this is true. Canidae has also changed all of their food formulas, and it does not look like the changes are for the better. My red girl is doing well on Pro Plan for Sensitive Skin, so I am in the process of changing our boy dobe and our rat terrier to the Pro Plan. My rattie does well on Canidae, but I just don't trust them anymore. If Pro Plan doesn't work for her I may just switch her to Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul, since she did well on it before. Anyway, my two cents.

At 12 weeks, I would suggest he get at least three meals a day. If he doesn't eat it all when you put it down, you may be giving a little to much. Try just one cup at a time. If he finishes and still acts hungry you can put a little more in his bowl. We fed ours three small meals a day until they were 5 months old and then we went to two times a day.

You should atleast be feeding 3x daily. Puppies that young need to eat often. When my puppy was that age, he got 1 cup per meal.

Its pretty diasapointing to me that Canidae is changing there recipe im not currently feeding it but i had intended to switch back about this time next year. But i highly doubt that will be happening now.
