You know Michigan, well one of Animal Planet Animal Cops is based in Detroit I believe, has a humane society. You might call them about the skinny adult dogs. They should not be skinny so you might get some action that way.

detroit is far away....around here animal control=one thing and one thing only and thats instant death. dogs are kept 4 days and gased with engine exhaust. our shealter has a 90% kill rate. I work with a local rescue referbished pets of southwest michigan. we take shelter dogs and place them in the local prison. the inmates train the dogs for 3 mo.....then they go up for adoption. it has worked really well. but we can only place 13 dogs every 3 mo.

lol thanks! his right ear is still odd at times....and a bit floppy....but I have hope for the best! your zeus is a handsome fellow too and they are about the same age

what brought you to the name zeus?

when I got mine his breeder was calling him jessie....well that would not work for us! since I have a jessica as a daughter....her nick name is jessie ha! I am sure she wouldnt take kindly to it!

then my favorite boy name was Ivan. had one of my girl children been a boy that was our name of choice.I was going to name my baby doberman Ivan! but my other daughter had fits since she wanted to save the name for a human child.....gezzzzzzzz

so then I liked olaf.....but my husband said it was too hard to say.....

after asking EVERYONE I know for name advice I decided zeus was good lol!!! it took me awhile to get use to it....and I tend to call him zoo for a nickname.

I know I have more pictures of my puppy then my children! they will hold it against me for a lifetime! lol!
