| | Alpha | Napping more....normal for puppy? Do puppies go through periods where they nap more? He is eating, drinking, peeing, pooping, playing, but just seems he wants to lay down more...which before I had to ask why wasn't he napping....
Is this a growth spurt time? |

| As long as he's healthy I wouldn't worry about it. Have you talked to your vet? If you're worried about it, it's better to be safe than sorry. Some just nap more than other's also. They're like babies. Also, my dobies have been sleeping more because they're bored, because we can't get outside for long periods of time because of the Texas heat. We go on long walks in the mornings, and they're bored in the afternoons, so they sleep for awhile. Then we play in the yard at night when it cools down. |

| Yes, they go through periods where they nap more. You'll find when they wake up they are larger than they were when they started hibernating.

| Can we trade dogs? Normally Apollo will take a power nap from 7-8 so I can get some dishes and stuff done. Last night...man I think he must've snuck off to the coffee shop when I wasn't looking because he ran NONSTOP for 5 hours. His whole body was hot from running around so much. I was afraid that he'd never fall asleep.
I bet he gets bigger in the next few days! |

| yes, my boy liked his naps and went through stages that it seemed to be all he did. There were times with my boy that I'd open the door to his crate in the morning and he'd come out and jump on my bed to nap for another hour while I got ready for work - THAT was sooooo not fair. lol

| | Alpha | That is too funny as that has been happening to me. We get up at 6, he potties, eats, stretches a bit and the next thing I know he is laying in his bed sleeping again....at least I can get ready for work in peace but I am very jealous...of course has he been doing this on weekends...OH NO! Stinker...he he he. |

| Wow, I wish my Vito would take a cue from your pup -- I think he sneaks the coffee without my knowledge too!
