Horse Mask....bark bark bark

So I am a horse person as well lots of items in my house representing this. I have a horse mask that has been hanging in my great room everyday since Jager has come to live with us 8 weeks ago. Well, yesterday is the first day Jager discovered it. He was happily throwing his toy in the air...la la la....and then just happened to glance up and "WHAT THE HECK IS THAT????" Game on! bark bark bark....bark bark bark. I took the mask down and he acted like it came to life...bark bark bark. It was very hard trying not to just laugh rather than calming him down so I could introduce it to him. Even after he pushed it, licked it, and pretty much established it was nothing the minute it when back on the wall...bark bark bark.

I just wonder what else will come to life in my house! Poor guy had to potty in a thunderstorm too that night! Needless to say we slept pretty well after all the excitement!

Rexx had the same reaction to my blender when I turned it on the other day to make my son a smoothie to drink with his breakfast. Barkbarkbarkbarkbark! He only stopped when I turned it off - turned it back on again and he resumed barking! (Of course Java is sitting on her pillow watching the commotion and if she could roll her eyes at the silly puppy she would....) After I filled my son's glass I poured a few tablespoons into Rexx's bowl (milk/banana/raspberry yogurt) and he licked that bowl clean! Now that he knows that the blender is his friend, he comes running into the kitchen when I turn it on and sits nicely expecting another taste!

Rexx will NOT pee/poop in the rain. He will come running to the back door, when he sees the battery acid falling from the sky, he will scoot back and sit, refusing to budge. Once when I did manage to lure him out onto the stoop, he peed right then and there, refusing to step away from the door! At least it was a) outside and b) it washes off...

kelli_white81 is on a distinguished road
Madix is the same way. When you get the broom out...it's on...lol!!! As for thunderstorms.....I think Madix is afraid of them now. It never seemed to bother him until 2 days ago. A big bang of thunder and a crack of lightening made him jump and run under the table. Then last night I was woken up by him jumping in bed with me because of the storm. He's a snuggler for sure, but last night he couldn't get close enough to me. He was never like that before, and it has stormed really bad a few times since I've had him. I'm not sure what to do to help him out. I don't want to baby him and make him think it's ok to be afraid. But I just can't stand seeing him that scared. Anyone have any advice about this one?
