Vito's Height -- Normal?

Within a post yesterday, we got to talking about Dobie pup size. I'm guilty of not measuring Vito (what a bad mom), but I did last night. He is 12 1/2 weeks old, stands 24" at the shoulders and weighs about 35 lbs. Is this average?

No it's not average it's huge. Considering mine is only a few days younger and 17 1/2 inches at the shoulders and weighs 23 lbs I would suggest that you have a dobe crossed with a bear.

Perhaps Max is just small for his age.

24" at the shoulders at 3 and a half months old?!

that is huge. the standard for doberman dogs are 26 to 28", ideal at 27.5".

hm, are you sure you measured correctly to its shoulders?

I don't think it's bad. Just get him behaving on a lead before he takes you pavement skiing

I'm pretty sure that's what it was to his shoulders. I'm a goober, so maybe I have it wrong...

I know he is quite big -- his head comes to the middle of my thigh, and that is...*getting a tape measurer*...28"

LOL!!!! Haha, I apologize -- and the medal goes to me for "Biggest Weiner Moment of the Day." (as I blush with complete and utter embarrassment).
OK, these are correct -- he is 28" tall, head including, and weighs 35lbs. Mom can barely pick him up anymore...
