| Is this unusual? I called my breeder checking on the birth of my pup.She advised there was
just one blk male born, which I am getting. She said it was unusual but it
has happened to her before.
She said this pup is a big boy 23 ozs. Won't be long before he arrives.
Looking forward to it. I've had Dobes 25 of the last 27 yrs. |

| a singleton litter? unusual but not unheard of, unfortunate for social behaviour development.

| | Alpha | I don't think singleton litters are *that* unusual. I know of quite a few.
Besides the problem of social development for the lone puppy, they also result in c-sections for the dam a lot of the time. There isn't enough of a hormone surge to make the dam go into labor.

| I'll socialize the pup. Puppy kindergarden is ideal. Lots of other dogs
and people. |
