Fast growth!

Well Rusty is 4 months. He'll be 5 months April 16th.
About 3 weeks ago he was 20 pounds and 16 inches tall. Now he is 35 pounds and 20 inches tall. WOWZERS!!!!
He's still smaller than the 40/4 months thing but he is really growing and catching up fast this month. I wonder what next month will bring. I know his parents were good sizes, his dad very big.

What a fasting growing boy!! Always take pictures.. the puppy stage is not long enough!!

My boy's sire and dam were both standards, but for some reason Lukas is huge compared to them (we visit them once in a while).

For the record, Lukas' growth didn't adhere to that 10lbs/month thing, he was always under, but now at 17 months he is about 85 lbs and about 30", took a looooong time to get that weight on him though compared to some of the other Dobes on this board.

Needless to say, all lines are different.

My dog grew at a rate I'd never seen before. It's like he was growing from one nap to the next on some days never mind day by day. Gunner's been tall and leggy from the get go and always reminded me of a deer. At 13 months he's gone or is going through another growth stage b/c I noticed yesterday that his back is now above my desk - only marginally mind you.

Dobermans grow until 2 years of age and depending on their blood lines at what rate. So it's pretty hard to say exactly when they've slowed down enough to say - only another inch or two. Heck, I was guessing only another inch or two 5 inches ago!

Lexx is the same type of thing, never at that 10lb/month thing, always under, he's almost 11 months and still only 65lbs, but his parents were both on the high side of standard... probably will grow something like Lukas did

zeus is gonna be 3 months on friday and he was 23.8 lbs yesterday. sound about right?

p.s. zeus also seems to be growing from nap to nap, nevermind day to day.

My pups are growing fast, too! My litttle man tripled his weight in 4 weeks' time. We weighed the pups, Emerald 8, on Sunday when they were 9.5 weeks old - biggest was 22 lbs; littlest was yellow man at 15+ pounds - it's amazing to see the growth and changes!

my boy when i got him at 8 weeks old he was 17 pounds now he is 5 days from being 5 months and is 49 pounds on the dot. So is this 10 pound a month thing normal or is that on the way to being a huge dobe?

wow that was quite the growth spurt!

My Miniature Doberman...I mean Doberman Pinscher is soooooo tiny! She goes to the vet on Monday to get fixed and have her cherry eye taken care of and I bet she only weighs about 38 lbs and she is almost 6 months!!!......I think she'll set a record as the smallest dobe ever.....unfortunately.....

I think I've got ya beat. Storm is about 8 mos and just a pinch under 50. The doc says she's healthy as could be and not to worry about it but I kinda wanted her to be a biggun.
