ears question

I would like to know if we can tape the ears without bridging them together . What are the pros and the cons?
Thank you

Yes, you can NOT do the bridge....it depends on what the ears are doing when free. If they are tipping in toward each other it can mean the bridge is too tight (short) and some time without a bridge is warranted.

When reposting, you can leave unbridged for awhile if they are standing up on their own well, and not hanging out to the sides like the flying nun. So, it is a judgment call if the ears need to be slightly tweaked or not. Usually if the bridge is slightly loosened so the dog has ear movement back and forth, slightly side to side....the bridge does not need to be removed.

Are you having trouble keeping the bridge in place?

I only used the bridge a couple of times and quit using it by the time Parker was 3 months old or before. When the ears were at rest they were to the side or around, when alert he could hold them properly.

I am having a hard time with his bridge. Every time i try to put it on he moves. I end up making it to tight and after 2 days the tips end up touching.
When i take off tape , the ears look like flying nun.
Today i taped ears without bridge . I try that out for a couple of days.

Thank you for info, if you have any other recomedations ,it will be greatly appreciated
