In another thread I posted that I ordered a No Spill Dog Bowl. Well, I received it a few days ago and I have to report that it really does help, at least 80%. We have an extra large mat with a lip under the bowl, 18 x 27, and it used to be filled with water, like a little swimming pool. Now, there are a few maybe quarter sized puddles on it after the entire day. There are still sometimes drops of water across the floor as well, but nowhere near as bad as before using this bowl. Since we have 3 Dobes using the bowl, the results, to me, are just wonderful! Since the bowl also holds 54 ozs. of water, it does not have to be refilled constantly either.
So, I do recommend this bowl. It's doing a very good job of keeping the drips and puddles much less, but it is NOT a 100% fix. Once our two rescue girls are 100% in their housebreaking, (our Doberboy is fine, its just the two recent Dobergirl adoptees) we plan on moving the water bowl down to our basement and will leave the basement door partly open. They will go down there to drink, we've tried it out. Problem will then be 100% solved, at least where the wood floors are!
HTH,
Connie
