Primo Pads - crate pads

At the suggestion of someone else (I can't find the thread, but thank you whoever it was), I ordered one of the Primo Pads and got it yesterday.

I caught a little video of Boris when I first put him in the crate to see what he did when he discovered it.

Webshots-Grand Opening Special: Enter code SAVE25 at checkout and save 25% on your order!

As you can see, he gave up pretty quickly this time. I had put it in the crate when the Hubby had him out for a walk (as suggested so they don't see you put it in), then put his regular "wubby" over it hoping he wouldn't notice. Yeah right....

Anyway, a couple times after that he came back with a vengeance and even had the crate rocking trying to pull it up so he could destroy it, but finally gave up after about 10 - 15 minutes each time. The last time he even started whining out of frustration and was panting his head off by the time he gave up. I love it.... Since then he's just gone in and went to sleep right away, so I'm hoping he completely gave up and is going to start enjoying the comfort.

I'm going to be so thrilled if this one finally works, and I'll post a couple updates as time goes by.

Here is the link to the site in case anyone else is interested.
Primo Pads

I ordered the 24 x 36" and it fit perfectly in his giant size crate. It only cost $35 too, so with the lifetime replacement guarantee, you can't beat it.

These work wonderfully for wire crates, not so hot for kennels. W has destroyed TWO. I didn't have the gall to ask him to replace it a second time.

I've used them for years, love 'em! Mine are the old fashioned kind though, just the foam - that's what the did before the covered them with the vinyl.

Sooner or later I'll buy new ones with the vinyl, but the old ones work just fine.

Well, score another triumph for Boris.

This is what I saw when I got home from work today. Don't you love that innocent look from behind the pad?? LOL!

Darn, I was sure he was going to leave it alone after not bothering it for a couple of days...

I think it needs a flat surface like seen on a wire crate to be a sucess... have you tried that dura crate pad? that literally zip ties to the wire crate so there is no way for the dog to tear it up. Its more expensive but double the thickness.
