| | Big Dog | Easy Walk Harness This is made by the same people who make the gentle leader. It was developed by Terry Ryan, a behaviorist. My pup hated the halti (gentle leader) with a passion. So much so, I worried about his neck. I thought he was too young for a pinch, so I did some research. It doesn't touch the neck and the hook is in the front attached to a martinel like piece. It doesn't all him to pull too hard and also trains him not to pull unlike a regular harness. I've really liked this product. I also like that the belly strap is a different color. It allows me to place it on him quickly.
Here is one: Easy Walk Harness

| I use this harness with Risa. She still pulls, but she doesn't pull as hard with the harness as she does with a buckle collar. With the harness, I have control over the entire front part of her body. I threw my back out the oher day and have been using the harness to take her out. I started physical therapy just this morning, and the harness really saves my back. I am training Risa to not pull with the buckle collar, but it's nice to have a backup when you just need to get from point A to point B and don't have time to continually stop and teach 'NO PULLING!'. When Risa pulls with the buckle collar, I stop (not rewarding the pull) and wait for her to stop pulling. I wait for her attention, and then we walk forward once I have her attention. When I use this method and when she's really excited, we don't cover much ground! I spend a lot of time patiently waiting for her to re-focus on me. When using the harness, I don't have to make every single session a training session.

| I use the Easy Walk harness on Sweep. It works great. My only problem is that I have to put it on upside down, with the different color strap on top, because the front piece slides too far down on her chest in the correct positon. I had both knees replaced in April 2007 and cannot tolerate a strong pulling dog. The Easy Walk Harness is the first thing I bought so when she started to get a little size on her I knew she would not pull me.

It was okay, but not a cure for us.
Its a good additional tool to work with your loose leash training techniques. For us, a martingale collar worked better with the pulling.

| Using the 6' leash as a harness works well on Sweep also. The leash is attached to the collar as normal, then you bring the leash back on the left side, while holding it at the withers, take the end under the tummy, over the back and then under the piece of leash you are holding. That forms a quick ease release harness and has worked well for me.

| | Big Dog | Like with anything else it is a training tool and not the magic solution. So, it still requires you to train while using it. I think it works and have been quite pleased with it. The front where you attach the collar is a martingale type of structure.
