| I've seen this product discussed on YorkieTalk Forums and the members who have it, enjoy using it.
I do remember though a few of them having to contact the company regarding the batteries being defective, but the company who sells it is offering replacement batteries to clients that have problems. |

| ReDobie4Xtina2, thanks, I was hoping someone else had used one or knew someone who did. I was thinking of buying one myself. So I can use my dremel for what I originally bought it for, not my dogs nails. LOL. |

| | Alpha | You can also just get the guard but double check your dremel. I have a 200 series (285) which it says the seperate guard fits but its 2 speeds 15,000 and 35,000 rpms. The site says to use it only at 10k max with 5k being prefered. Moral to the story is it does not work on my 200 series dremel brand dremel because of the speeds. Since it was in storage I didnt dig it out of the building till the guard came in the mail.
It also will not work on my slower speed minimite cordless because the part you screw the guard onto does not come off on the minimite (eh but it is the right speed!) I did know based on the site info that it would not work on the minimite.
My daughter is supposed to bring her dremel by and see if it works with it. |

| There was a thread about this particular product a couple months back. I think the concensus was that the guard was handy, but the actual rotary took was pretty cheap.
I use the new Stylus dremel: Dremel Tools - Cordless Rotary Tools

| I would think that the $49.99 tool would be the better one to get. |

| Hope it works for you. It looks a little big & bulky. I've been using an Oyster cordless for 15 years that was designed for dog nails, probably similar to the dremmel, but a little quieter. I think the cordless dremmel would be good, because youre not tied to an outlet.

| | Big Dog | Has anyone had real experience with this product yet? I was considering it because it captures the dust from the trim.

| I have a Peticure have not used it myself a neighbor is a Professional Pet sitter + does Greyhound rescue also I had her come do Buddy 1st time, she also did Patches my long haired Doxie. It was her opinion the Peticure would be great for Patches but was not fast enough to do Buddy's big nails, she went to her house and brought back her Dermal for Buddy.Going to have her come back next week to do Buddy's when they get shorter I may try to do them once a week just have not figured out a position I can get into with Buddy to do his.How often are you suppose to use a Dermal or Peticure on dogs nails???
Thanks Patches Mom |
