| Muzzy & Deb Stevenson - anyone know them? My rescue Dobe has qualified for AKC Rally Nationals and I was looking at records for other ILP/PAL Dobes who have earned RAE2/3s. I saw Muzzy and found this website where Deb Stevenson tells Muzzy's story: Muzzy
Truly, some of the sweetest things to say about a dog who must be... well, incomparable! I just wanted to share this story of a rescue Dobe who achieved so much, and ask that if anyone knows Deb Stevenson, to share my sincere personal appreciation for her sharing Muzzy's story.
Aside from all these incredible accomplishments: Muzzy's Accomplishments it's clear she has earned an everlasting love from her owner.
I don't know if Muzzy is still with us physically (last update on the website is 2010), but she is with me in spirit, now. I loved reading this story and feel inspired by this team. I hope other rescue Dobe owners do, too! |

| Yes, I know Deb and Muzzy very well. Just talked to Deb a few nights ago. Sadly, Muzzy died over a year ago Muzzy was just wonderful, a beautiful face and soft natural ears. Deb is a fabulous owner, she did amazing things with a rescue who came to her lacking confidence. Muzzy lived to be 11 1/2 years old which we all know is a good life for a Doberman.
Deb is a very talented writer. She wrote a poem for my soulmate/rescue boy Lazarus that was not only beautiful but described him and our relationship perfectly. I'll see if I can find it and post if here.
I'm glad that you appreciated Muzzy's story so much, it would make Deb very happy to hear. I will pass it on. |

| I knew her from another forum, a long time ago, for several years. Great lady.

| Yes, I remember when Deb first got Muzzy and how scared she was of different things. That picture of her on the couch with her toys...she never destuffed her toys, took very good care of them. Muzzy truely landed in a great home.
Deb introduced her on the another forum...not sure if it still exists.

| I remember meeting Deb and Muzzy for the first time at an agility trial at Centinary College in NJ. Deb brought Muzzy out for socialization. She looked like a deer in the headlights. Boy did she come a long way baby. Muzzy was a real statement about the power of love and dedication. |

| Oh yeah - they were a great team! Deb now has Frenchies and does wonderful things with them in agility! I had the great pleasure to meet Muzzy a couple of times - she was wonderful.

| churchill, thank you for the information on Muzzy's passing, and also for letting Deb know I truly appreciate her sharing Muzzy's story. It wasn't tears that welled up for me. Only because the words Deb chose made it clear that Muzzy's resilience was built on a foundation of Deb's love and respect for her as an individual worthy of a better life. Instead of tears, it was a wave of love and pride in our breed and the remarkable owners who love these dogs so selflessly.
Thank you all for acknowledging the kind of dog and owner team that Muzzy and Deb were. |

| I should find the picture of my first doberman Bowie, and Muzzy at the first ever rally show Muzzy was a sweet gentle soul and I still see Deb at some of the agility trials - though most recently at an obedience trial where her newest little rat terrier was earning legs for his BN!
she has a MACH3 frenchie now (Soren) as well as his daughter audra. and remus the rattie
