I shared some photos of Delta awhile back, and now it's Draco's turn

Draco is pretty cool dog, one were weren't exactly thinking would be our next agility star! Draco came to us as a rescue foster through a friend of my family's (dobestar - Laura H. via DRM). He ended up being a foster failure; he was a perfect fit with the 2 girls we had at the time and he was a young dog - 9 months when he came to us. My mother wanted to give agility a try and wasn't really looking for a dog that sets the course on fire. She has had to learn quick, he is a speed demon with a temper on the course.

He is now 3 1/2, and has a blast with agility. He is my mother's dog mainly, but we regularly trade handlers with him.














... and one last one! Stopping is NOT Draco's thing, and he has a regular habit of taking it out on who ever is handling him. As you can see below he wasn't exactly thrilled with having to stop on the table. He is a good natured dog, but he can have a temper

Oh lordy, you get yourself out of the way quick or you will pay for it dearly If he doesn't bite you in the backside, he will flat out knock you over. You generally try to keep some distance between him and you on the course; it just works better that way.

Blind crosses with him are a no-go, you keep your eyes on him 100% of the time. You also have to catch him with two hands at the end of your run, if you don't get a hold of him fast enough he will grab what ever piece of clothing he can get a hold of first.

All that aside, it was probably a good thing he ended up living with my family. He is a lot of dog and is extremely pushy, not the kind of dog who would do well in most households. Yet he can be a coach potato too

Love the pictures, he sounds a lot like Mabel, a sweet boy who wants things his way and when he's working you better keep up or watch out! She nips me too if I don't keep up the pace and that's just obedience work most of the time!

Thanks everyone! He really is a cool dog, and I am so happy he ended up with my family. The world works in mysterious ways. I am about 99% sure I know his pedigree, and the bizarre twist is he would end up being the nephew to one of my other dogs - Delta. Even though his breeder is several states away, he ended up back here. He has come so far from the puppy that showed up here. He still isn't 100% sure of all men, and kids make him edgy from time to time. But he has come leaps and bounds.

Yes, my brother caught this one. I think the judge was laughing at him already, and then he leaped off the table. He does give her a lot of crap that's for sure! Yet the world revolves around her according to him.
