Had a long hard week finishing up finals and trying to prep Argo for his BH this weekend. I realized I hadn't done hardly any practice with distractions and hadn't worked him anywhere but the field so tried to scramble last second! On Monday he also decided he no longer could handle himself to do long downs so we had to address that as well. We left for the trial Friday, practiced on the field (which was covered in TRASH) for a bit, checked into the hotel, and got no sleep. I was very disappointed in the judging as well as the club in general and am still a bit upset at the fact that they made the BH's go last when we had previously arranged and been told we would go first thing in the morning. I had dogs waiting for me at home and had a last second scramble at getting someone to make a visit again.
Anyways, despite all of that, we PASSED! Woohoo! Long down was perfect, sit, down, recall, etc were perfect. Heeling through the group he had a bit of stranger danger going on and lost focus after that, but now I know what I need to work on before the 1.
I talked a nice photographer into staying to snap a couple pictures of us, so I will post those when they get here, but here's some cell phone pics I took over the past 3 days.
This seems to be the trend in every picture I attempt to take of him
He loved the fact that the counter allows for him to touch me while I get ready. He kept bouncing back and forth from one side to the other
Practicing a long down
And a picture at the pit stop. He's such a sweet boy, literally anytime I have him with me, this is what I get. Constantly staring with this look on his face.
