We put in for and were selected in the lottery draw for another attempt at NW2. In will be in San Luis Obispo in mid-Feb. It will require a drive and overnight stay and at this time of year reasonably likely to have rain, but should be fun to try again.

Will update after the trial.

In the meantime, Pula is entered in her first agility trial Dec 26 and 27. We'll see where she is for training in the new environment and decide from there how to proceed.

Good luck. I wish we had someone doing nosework closer to me. The nearest classes are almost two hours away.

Good luck. Seems like you had some good luck already by winning the trial lottery.

Looks like Maiya and I are going to have to wait until May for our attempt at NW2 - that is - IF we get in the trial. The last trial in this area had a waiting list.

There's going to be an ORT in Denver on Feb 9th. I hope Em's ready for it. Will be driving to a different trainer in Jan to help prep for it. This is something Emily just loves and I hope I can add it to our bucket list.

I have Storm certified on Anise and Birch - fingers crossed that I can get her entered in a NW 1 in the spring!!!

Christy went to a seminar and started training Parker. She video taped all of her sessions and the founders of Nosework helped her get this video out.

It is a little bit of a "How To" video.

Christy is a good trainer and I use her as a resource frequently. I highy recommend it.

Yes. All the trials here have wait lists. The last NW2 I was 8 on the list, and then they added another judge so I got in. One of the people who trains with me got in 3 days prior to the trial and got her title.

The NW3's here are getting backed up now that people are moving on out out of 2. My trainer has a NW3 Elite dog. They are now thinking of what new things to add to the sport past NW3 Elite.

Understand the drive for class. I am lucky that I am where it all started. Quite a few trainers with some choices of classes. I drive 1 hour each way, but it is on Sunday so it is good.

I really love it and so does Pula. We just did some fun practice at home today.
