| T2B today. Tamora Q`d. It was a good warm up for the dogs and they got use to the surface, which is sod brought in.
Dogs were slipping some and they had to replace and repair some of the sod because it went down to the concrete.
Tamora I believe ran smart and careful. She is always aware of her surfaces. This is find by me, I want her safe.
All the dobes ran well, one faulted on a contact, but that is ok. This run does not really count for scoring at this trial, but you can earn points toward your T2B title.
We run early tomorrow on one of the runs and in the afternoon for another. | |

| Double Q today for us. The one ring is still slippery. Tamora does not like it at all. But she did Q.
Only 1 dog from each breed will go to the finals. I believe there are around 60 something here. Really great seeing all the breeds.
When we run there are around 150 or so in our height.
The dobes are doing well in my opinion. | |

| I can`t believe it, but we made Finals. #12 out of 142 dogs.
I messed up in Finals, I guess my number was up considering we were Q`ng consistently, but what a ride.
We are all tired, but happy. Today our day started at 4:15 a.m. and ended around 7:30 p.m.

| We are now home.
What a wonderful experience that I will never forget.
I was never really nervous when we ran (I was always more concerned about getting to where I needed to be, but I did feel the pressure at Finals.
T2B and 4 clean runs, can`t beat that. Ended up 12th in Finals. (darn handling errors  )
After the Invitational we took a couple of days and went to the beach in St. Petersburg Florida.
Tamora knows how to swim and loves it, I really wanted Atlas to as well.
Retrieving balls -- they just could not get enough of it.

(so Florida was the best opportunity for him to learn).
I took a ball and just took him out a little further each time, until he was swimming. I taught Tamora with a dog vest when she was under a year, but that place is no longer available (here at home)
I bet V would learn with a life vest and his very favorite thing and you leading the way, slowly. Sometimes finding a place is the hardest part.
This Spring or Summer I will try to swim him at CC here. ( where I belong ) Such good exercise for them.
Hubby said we should go back. Thats` a bit of a drive for a swim, but we sure had fun. | |
