Thanks everyone for the well wishes!!!!
We got to Florida today, it was 1,600 mile trip from Minnesota to Orlando. We left MN at 3:30 in the morning on Wednesday. We drove 950 miles and ended up staying in Murfesburo (sp), TN. We left Tennessee at 8:00 this morning and drove the remainder of the way to Orlando. Delta was so excited to get to the hotel. Se emailed ran up to the door and tried to paw it open. When that didn't work she tried to get the bell-hop to open it for her
It was pretty funny, before I even got into the hotel to check in I had run into at least 3 close friends, and a whole bunch more once we were inside. We drive all the way across the country and end up seeing the same people!
Delta has also decided (and apparently several other dogs from MN) that the grass here is weird. It apparently feels funny to them, although I would think it would be better than the 16" of snow we have in MN.
ps. Curious where you got Delta from?
Delta came from a well intention-ed, but not a very great breeder. Her breeder has a heart of gold, but is better off just keeping dogs as pets, which is what she is doing now- she has a couple rescues/rehomes. She has some show line dogs close up, but it's nothing spectacular.
9 years old and loving Agility still!
Wishing you good luck!
Wishing all the dobes competing a great finish!
I think it would be awesome if Dobes sweep the 24" class
I would love if all the Dobes could make the finals, but we can't. The invitational is unique in the fact that when it comes down to the final round only one dog of each breed is accepted. The top dozen or so in each height advance to the finals, but there can't be multiples of the same breed, if that makes sense.
Tomorrow is the warm-up day. We run Time 2 Beat in the afternoon, it will give me an idea of how she handles the footing, plus she will still be sleeping off the trip. She didn't sleep one bit of the way down. I will try and keep everyone updated as the weekend goes on.
