| Ha ha that was awesome. I like when they pass the team of Husky's and the Husky's look at them like whooowhat???
I love seeing Dobermann's doing non-traditional Dobermann sports.

| Very cool - I just hope they don't have to live outside like you see the husky sled dogs.

| That's awesome! My first thought is that they would be cold, but I suppose you work up a sweat pulling a big sled around! Cool to see

| I always thought Hans would love this. He's a russian boy that LOVES snow. The one time it snowed here enough to sled, I put his harness on and he pulled the kids back up the hill. They went faster going up then they did going down.

| That was a neat video!
It was also kind of funny that the Doberman team was 4 dogs...some of the other teams you saw were 6! |

| That's awesome! I'm sure it took a lot of hard work and dedication from the dog's owners to train them to do that as well as condition them for it. It amazes me what this breed can accomplish physically.
Oh, and I highly doubt the dogs are "cold". Even if I go for a run in the middle of winter, I end up in my shorts and a t-shirt and sweating. Most of the time, us humans are more sensitive for our dogs than we need to be. |

| Oh wow I love that. It's funny I always wanted to try dogsledding. I guess I just need to get 3 more dobes for my team. Well maybe 4 because Coco is a princess and will want to ride with me in the sled!

| Wow, just wow!!! Glad this got bumped as I missed it when first posted.
I watched another one is this series. The one where the camera is on the sled. Different race but they pass two other sled teams in it, too. The huskies beat them out of the gate, but the dobermans pass them after a bit. ????? "??????? ?????" 2012. 1 ????. 5 ??. - YouTube
Hmmm, don't know why all the question marks, but it pulls the video up.
Thanks for sharing this!!!

Noticed all their ears were cropped, so figured he didn't scimp on their care. With what little could be seen of them when they stopped in the last race, it looked like they were well built dobermans, but I never dreamed any had show and working titles. What a nice surprise!!!
Again, thank you for sharing this with us, Feverhaus. |
