| Well it depends what you want to do. There's showing, agility, schutzhund, tracking, flyball, dock diving, just to name a few. I'd pick an activity that interests you first.

| There are many venues but almost all titles begin with obedience classes. Finding a good club that offers competition on agility, obedience, and offers CGC testing usually means a good club. Search your area and begin there. Even our show dogs had obedience training first. It is what we think is necessary with all dobermans and just makes them better dogs. The most important thing is to find what your dogs enjoys and does best. All of this starts with obedience. |

You can also find a title list on the AKC website and you can read about the different events you can get involved in with your dog.
Miller is 110% correct. Obedience is the foundation for everything. It is not always the most exciting to teach, but it is so crucial to have a dog that is under your complete control and reliable off lead as many of the events require it. |

| Most agility training clubs require you to complete an obedience course prior to agility classes. |
