Post your 2013 training wishlists here so we can follow what all of our talented DT members are up to with their dogs. Wishlists don't have to be titles of course :)
Quote and update your wishlists throughout the year as you achieve your goals!

Ilka 2013: Get the last leg of her CD in obedience, and possibly an RAE in Rally, and then retire her from the ring. Shoot for Coursing Ability titles. Look into doing IPO tracking with her.

Leo 2013: Spay her and get her PAL. Then, shoot for BN and RN titles, and maybe her CD. Look into AKC tracking for her.

What's that quote... Aim for the moon, if you miss you'll land amongst the stars...
Well here's mine!

Elsie
- get reliable weaves and contacts for agility
- JDX (jumpers dog excellent title)
- win into jumpers A (highest level of jumpers)
- CDX
- RN
- CGC
- enter first working trial in November and not look like an idiot, UD or UDX would be a bonus too ;)

Magic
- happy, well socialized giant puppy!
- a good foundation for sports
- NZKC CH title by the end of 2013 so we can leave the conformation ring for bigger things :D

No RN title this year, but we did get 2 legs and now I see what we need to work on (a lot)! Hopefully, that RN WILL come in 2013, we just need more focus :) I'm so proud of my easily-distracted little puppy-brained princess - she placed 3rd for her first RN leg which is more than I ever expected - now it's up to me to whip her into shape...

For Me

To learn better body language in guiding my dogs thru an agility course...hmmm oh, yes not forget the course while running it. LOL

For Kyrah

To try and build some speed into her agility performance and hopefully learn to work her with some distance between us.

For Dexter

To be able to enter a match or something next yr atleast get him some exposure to the ring.

This might get updated here quickly (still have a few trials left for this year 3AKC 1 ASCA)

General Training
- Try to do 1 trial a month
- Get better smoother A-Frame (Jones likes to stop at the top... sigh)
- Teach 5 new/different/odd tricks (suggestions are welcome BTW... in PM form)
- Better (more reliable) weave entries (Work the clock.... more)
- Work on Distance and Layering

AKC Stuff:
- Obtain half a MACH (half the requirements)
- Do 1 OB trial, just for fun

ASCA Stuff
- Start earning ATCH points in Gamblers and Standard
- Obtain half an ATCH

General Stuff
- Start looking at future agility star ;)
- Look into learning dog massage

After Baron got his CDX title, I thought we would retire. But think maybe just for fun will start training him UD exercises and see where it takes us. Found a trainer in our the area we moved to so might check her out and do some classes over the winter. But everything is sort of on hold right now until the renovations and remodling is done so will be updating.

Hey, at least in Utility, there are no stays to worry about. :) Ilka can do the moving stand for examination and the signals required in Utility, but I don't think I could ever trust her on the out-of-sight stays in Open.

Versatility title--not sure what that involves, but sounds fun.
Versatility consists of six excercises, two each from Novice, Open, and Utility. They are picked at random, so you never know what you are going to get. :D

my goals are varied - some are more concrete, and some are more topic/foundation based.

berlin
- continue with nosework: certify in all odors and get a NW1
- stay happy and healthy - id like a dog to make it to 6 without heart disease.
- consider coming out in preferred agility, or some other venues where she can jump lower
- resist putting her in a rally trial for her last RA leg because she hates it!
- LURE COURSE!

cherrybomb
- continue matching her at a variety of locations so that she has exposure to multiple places and multiple people.
- try to find multiple ring matches so she learns to work around db and jumping in other rings
- try to show her in matches under men - since there are still many male judges
- work on getting her heel position slightly closer to me.
- obtain a CD leg - just one.
- get one top 20 score (these last 2 may purely depend on my trainer - she will tell me when i am ready to show, so if its not til the end of the year i may not have many opportunities to do this
- work on db retrieve - she loves the db, but doesn't want to give it back to me. in an effort to avoid a repeat of the hell we went through with rah (who valued the db more than life itself and giving it to me was a problem)
- qualify for all star
- win high scoring rescue at my dobe clubs show (again, if my trainer says she is ready to show!)
- get her WAC and ATT
- LURE COURSE!

chill
- similar to cherry - continue matching in new locations, with new people.
- work on his issue with the db flying and other noises - he's a little reactive and we need to work on exposure and attention with distractions.
- work with his fronts - we are having "back end cannot line up with front end" issues so i need to increase front and rear end awareness with him.
- get a CD leg
- qualify for all star - my trainer would like his entire litter to qualify and show, we think it would be cool :)
- get his CGC
- LURE COURSE!

not an easy year for us!!!

\
berlin
- continue with nosework: certify in all odors and get a NW1
berlin easily passed all her odor certifications - she had two entries in NW1 trials, but I had to pull when she tore her cruciate. We are still hoping to get in a trial or two in november/dec, so this could still happen.
- stay happy and healthy - id like a dog to make it to 6 without heart disease.
well, she's happy. healthy... er... well she's been cardiac tested and THAT is clear! i wouldn't call tearing your cruciate healthy, and right now she is NOT HAPPY.

- consider coming out in preferred agility, or some other venues where she can jump lower
she had entries but the trial was cancelled. i was going to pull her anyway because her neck was hurting her a bit - now agility is off the table.
- resist putting her in a rally trial for her last RA leg because she hates it!
i was good and did not enter her :)
- LURE COURSE!
also another sport i think will forever be wiped from her future after this knee injury.

cherrybomb
- continue matching her at a variety of locations so that she has exposure to multiple places and multiple people.
- try to find multiple ring matches so she learns to work around db and jumping in other rings
- try to show her in matches under men - since there are still many male judges
- work on getting her heel position slightly closer to me.
we've been pretty close to great on these - she is always a work in progress but we've been matching and doing well except for this last one, where lazy baby decided she couldn't work anymore she was tooooo tired.
- obtain a CD leg - just one.
- get one top 20 score (these last 2 may purely depend on my trainer - she will tell me when i am ready to show, so if its not til the end of the year i may not have many opportunities to do this
cherry's first novice entries are going to be next month - so wait and see!
- work on db retrieve - she loves the db, but doesn't want to give it back to me. in an effort to avoid a repeat of the hell we went through with rah (who valued the db more than life itself and giving it to me was a problem)
cherry had a forced retrieve introduced and is now a very happy retriever and brings them allllll back to me. yay!
- qualify for all star
again, we need to show to qualify :)
- win high scoring rescue at my dobe clubs show (again, if my trainer says she is ready to show!)
DONE!!!!!!
- get her WAC and ATT
cherry hasn't been entered. we were going to do it last month and this month respectively, but berlin has taken control of our lives!
- LURE COURSE!
hoping to do this with her in a few weeks!

chill
- similar to cherry - continue matching in new locations, with new people.
- work on his issue with the db flying and other noises - he's a little reactive and we need to work on exposure and attention with distractions.
we are working hard on this - we are making progress with other noises, but now we have the sensitivity with other dogs around.
- work with his fronts - we are having "back end cannot line up with front end" issues so i need to increase front and rear end awareness with him.
AWESOME fronts now :)
- get a CD leg
- qualify for all star - my trainer would like his entire litter to qualify and show, we think it would be cool :)
we haven't been given permission to show yet!!!!!!!
- get his CGC
- LURE COURSE!
still hoping to fit these both in!!!!!

Fiona:
NA
NAJ

Tali:
BN
NA

Hopefully dabble in tracking with each, too.

I'd love to say that an NAJ would be a goal for Tali, too, but the silly little thing loses her mind on jumps courses and she just wants to run around jumping on me and squealing. LOL We're working on it though and while we may not be able to finish a jumps course yet I freakin' LOVE her enthusiasm. LOL :) I'd also love to say a CD is a goal for Tali next year, but I think we've got a full plate as it is. And I'd love for a BN to be a goal for Fiona, too, and she can do it at this point in life but I just don't know how many goals one handler who works full-time can realistically make for 2 dogs. We train a lot but I've got to have the time and money to compete, so we'll see!

Training wish list/goal for myself...to learn more. To understand my dogs better. To be the handler each dog needs so that I can give them the opportunity to show how awesome they are.

Okay, maybe another goal for Ilka, if she will cooperate, and I can find any trials doing the class. Graduate Open is a possibility. :) There is no requirement for the class, which is basically a modified Utility, other than the dog be capable of doing the excercises. So, we wouldn't have to have a CDX to enter, like we would for Utility, so I wouldn't have to worry about out-of-sight stays.

For Thor (we just went back to obedience, took a few months off doing anything after finishing his Ch)

Currently working on BN
Working towards CD
Want to take the WAE

End Goal: ROM

I need to work on perfecting myself. Fixing sloppy footwork in Obedience, and polish my handling skills. They are acceptable, but need that extra bit of oomph.

I also need to teach my daughter how to handle, she wants to be a Junior Handler. The blind leading the blind on that, lol. :p

More tricks! I was so lazy this year about finishing the Intermediate Trick Dog title. We're working on closing the door, and on holding things currently.

Also...and I'm not sure this is a "training" wishlist or goal, but I'm thinking about taking Elka to WAE. I'm pretty sure I know how she'll be on each of the test items, but I think it would be an interesting experience go to through and write about. And if she does pass, that's a really swank title :D

Me and Brandy's goals

End of 2012

- Complete the next level of her Obedience course
- Try a Beginner Agility course

End or middle of 2013

- CGN

Montgomery -
Work towards CD and possibly RN (I THINK that's Rally novice?).

Doing this for this first time, I may be being overly ambitious...but I'm up for trying!
Hey, we're setting goals. It's not going to be the end of the world if we don't reach them. For example, I've completely changed my goals for Ilka. My original (lifetime) goal for her was OTCH/UDX/RAE. Ain't gonna happen. She is too reactive. That's why my new goals for her (other than the last leg of her CD), will limit her contact with other dogs.

Goals

Me: Find some trainers in Fort Worth or Dallas since I'll be moving there soon.

Work on consistency of my signs and commands so that I don't get confused puppy faces.

Tigger the Tiger Dog
BN- finish the last 2 legs.
RA- Start the first off leash experience (I'll be a nervous wreck good thing he's a calm cucumber)
Therapy dog- He's going to make the most amazing therapy dog due to his laid back nature. I just need to get him to a testing.
Agility- Get a practice area and trainer for this he loved his intro class so get this started!
Tracking- Maybe I just don't have any experience so we'll need to find someone who does.

Minneaux
Extinguish the leaping at other dogs so I can safely take her to and from the ring.
RN- I think by the end of the year she can complete this. She knows the commands it's just getting her to and from the ring.
BN- Enter her in at least one trial for this.
Tracking or lure coursing- Maybe need to find some trainers for this before I know if it's a possibility.
