PA Residents - be aware!!

Hello there fellow Pennsylvanians. In case you hadn't seen or heard about this already, I just thought I'd post it. American Kennel Club - PA Bill to Allow Local BSL

I've always been proud to be living in a state with a more enlightened dog law (one that doesn't allow insurance companies to cancel or deny policies based on breed or allow BSL to take place) BUT...now our great state is considering a change to the dog law that would remove its prohibition on BSL ordinances. It would leave it up to each municipality and/or county to adopt any type of law applicable to "dangerous" dogs, including BSL. This scares the crap out of me!

The Legislature is currently on summer recess until September 16 so there's nothing new to report right now, just wanted you all to be aware...

Wow, I did not know that PA did not allow insurance companies to cancel /deny based on breed. No wonder we've never been asked if we even have a dog. I've not heard anything about BSL in my area. Anything new on this, tess?

There is another thread that I didn't see that states it was amended to protect against bsl, I believe.

Yes, I just read that thread, although the wording of the actual bill is not given, just seems to be newspaper articles. Would like to see the final form before I get too relieved!
