| Buddy's Christmas Present stolen Bought Buddy a large greenie for Christmas the $4.00 size had it in the bag with some canned dog food suppose to get really cold so they get a little canned with their dry food. Well did not think about the big greenie Patches the dachshund also had a greenie more her size. I forgot put the bag on the floor darn dachshund too good of nose I saw Buddy sitting with his back to me while I was washing dishes. Thought it was odd he usually does not sit in the utility room I should have looked better Patches stole Buddy's huge greenie I got him for Christmas she had it eaten down to a small ball shape did not recognize it told her to drop it which she did looking at me like I was crazy. After about 15-20 minutes finely figured out what it was now wondering if the doxie will get an obstruction but being a hound I hope not. Now have to go out and get Buddy another Christmas present, hubby said just give Patches's greenie to Buddy no he would most likely get it side wise in his mouth its too little. Hope Patches will be OK yes dachshunds can and do bloat too deep chests too. |

You have to remember mum, Doxies maybe small in stature, but they think they are the same size as a Dobe, so quit buying the small toys, get him the big boys stuff in future.
Hugs to the little one and of course the big un. |

| Okay, I have to ask, what the heck is a 'Greenie'?
I have an image of some little green alien thing which is doing me no good at all. |

| The Greenies dog product should have been taken off the market, years ago, in my opinion.
If this was a human product and a "good lawyer" devised a class action suit, this company would be fined, and judicially forced to cease producing the Greenie product, as a hazard to society, in my opinion.
The Greenie has caused endless obstructions, thousands of dollars in surgery and some dead dogs, as evidenced by my husband's experience as a Vet. |

| I hope your doxie is ok. That sounds like something my daughter's chihuahua would do. He trys to take Shultz's food all the time. The old timer always backs away to let Zak have it. LOL |

| Thanks everyone ole Miss Cast Iron stomach seems to be fine Greenies did have law suits spent allot of monies re-formulating their product. My two get a greeneis about once a month since they are a little pricey. Last week I made 4 different types of dog treats,Apple & honey, Peanut butter & molasses then two new kind 1.) Cream of Wheat,a can of pumpkin, and dry milk mixed together made into dime size cookies and baked.2.) Cream of Wheat, jar of baby food carrots, squash, meat, dried milk mix drop by small teaspoons & bake.Everyone seems to like them had to take half to my sisters house since we have a small freezer.Anyone that take Dog Fancy magazine they have 3-4 recipes for dog treats in the Natural Dog part of the magazine just got this magazine so have yet to try them out.
If you have a small dog and a big dog it is in the small dogs best interest for them to have the appropriate size treat. In Patches case she is a vacuum cleaner Like most dachshunds are very hard to keep weight off of her. |
