he looks awesome!

nice weight, shiney eyed and full of beans.

now he is comfortable with you, he will try to run the show.

lots of pitty in there.

outsmart him.

good luck.

Pearl is over 9 and tries my patience many times every day.

but she never peed or pooped in the house.................

maybe he needs one of those belly bands to stop the marking........and a cork in the arse.......

Hugz!

How about some new ones

So I haven't had a Timber update in a while....

Lets see, He broke out of the house one day (back at the 1st of Jan) while trying to load up for an agility trial (local) so he was gone all day, didn't think we were going to get him back, we had actually given up searching, cause it was getting to dark, and he finally showed himself (found himself 5 ticks and a thorn bush, OUCH)

Still having issues in the house, very loose stools, hasn't had a solid one since he has been here... But also he now has blood in his stool bright red being seen by the vet tomorrow.... sigh this dog....

But that is it for the "bad news"... good news:
- He isn't terrified of everyone he meets. If you don't come up to him and force yourself on him, he will generally want to go see you.

-Went to his first agility trial with me and had no issues with the other dogs or people wanting to walk up and pet him (of course they had lots of treats for him)

- He went to his very first meet in greet type event (was more like a orientation for new people wanting to help the rescue) but he did very well for the amount of people that were there.

-Doing much better with other dogs, doesn't seem to want to be as alpha (he is still alpha but is learning how to play with other dogs).

-He has learned sit, not 100%, but he is trying so hard...

-Knows come, but also knows when he is on a long leash and no leash, lol...(damn dog)

-But since he knows come, but won't if not on a long line, stay is one he knows, and he will stay until I can get the leash on him.

-He's not afraid of the leash anymore! I can actually walk up to him with it in my hand

-Knows his name!

-He is a crate destroyer, must have zip ties (okay that isn't a positive, but must include lol)

Okay and what you guys really wanted to see in this post the pictures!
How about some pictures that don't make him seem terrified!

Please give me the treat I am sitting!

Someone has finally played with the Jolly Egge

Still terrorizing Jones as well

He's got the adopt me I am sad face down still though

Thanks for the update on Ilka's twin! He is one of the most striking dogs I have ever seen. Hopefully, you and the vet can get his issues sorted out.

Update:

Whipworms... Vet said he's probably had them the whole time, but when he first came to me they were probably so few that it wasn't picked up on the fecal... Anyways 3 days of medication, he should be good... have to do 3 more days in 2-weeks but should be doing better...

He came with me on the last day of the trial this weekend, Jonesy found him to be useful... I was cleaning up Jonesy's crate/stuff and packing so I put them both in the same crate...

Brotherly love!
Almost asleep....

OUT!

Liquid or powder? I get the powder, and mix it in their food. The vet gave me liquid for someone, but you can buy the powder OTC.

I've always had to admin./dose out liquid...thankfully never to my own pets, but an 90lb jowly dane/pointer mix who submissively pees and flails....that apparently has my name written all over it lol

I have had some success squirting it into 2-3 wet food meatballs though

if he's a treat catcher that's the best way, the less they bite the meatballs the better and longer the trick lasts

Timber has left the building....

Unfortunately not to his permanent forever home.... He's been getting progressively worse with his Separation Anxiety, and at this point in time I am not home enough or often enough to work his level of SA... 2 crates, and this weekend later... Timber is spending his first night with his new foster family.

I did not meet the new family, as the rescue kept him this weekend while I was at an Agility trial, so they could take him to Mardi Paws, and Smooch a Pooch, local dog events... I was supposed to pick him up today, but the rescue informed me that someone wanted to give it a shot at working with his SA. (We had been looking for a couple of weeks, so it wasn't sprung up on me, but kinda a shocker, to not bring the little guy home tonight)

I hope he does well in his new foster home...
Kinda upset that I couldn't help him, almost feels like I failed him...

But fingers crossed for Timber and his new foster family.

Sometimes, you have to accept you gave them what you were supposed to, and now it is time for them to learn something from the next humans.

Awww, I'll miss hearing about him. I hope his new foster family can get him over his SA, and that he finds a loving forever home.

It's never a failure, you brought him so far out of his shell as it was, it's just his path in life to go to the other foster house, which opens you up to a dog who may just need you more

Hugs to you and T-man, fingers crossed he gets his new forever home soon.

Hope he does well with his new foster. You have done really well! You can be proud and now some of his other issues can be addressed and he is closer to a forever home.
