Weird house?

So I was walking my pitbull, cash and there is an old abandoned grown up house around our block that he will not walk past. I have to pick his 70lb butt up and carry him past it. He's terrified of getting any where near it. Thought it was just him but my Doberman will not walk past it either. She whines and goes crazy when we get close to it. So I had to do the same with her. Plus none of the neighborhood strays are ever near it. What could cause this? It has no smell(that I can smell), it's just a small house with a garage that has busted windows and all grown up with trees, grass, weeds, etc... I just don't get it.

Lol that's seriously what came to mind. But then again I thought maybe it could be a snake den, large cat den or something of that sort. I have seen one panther passing through my yard about a year ago but haven't seen any since. Snakes are bad here too. So I have no clue.

Well funny you should post this today, because basically if ghosts are real, we have one in our house.
Our house is 600 year old farmhouse split in two.
Some weird stuff has happened here, usual explainable stuff like things going missing and turning up again, probably my useless memory but some proper weird things have happend involving my son.
The three really weird things that happened:

A red liquid leaked out of the ceiling in the living room but got trapped under the varnish (its a timber ceiling) its still there.
Coins fell out of the same ceiling which is tongue and groove so there is no gaps, they are old 2 penny coins.
My son was in his room whilst everyone else downstairs including the in laws, suddenly my kid shouted 'No!' and there was a big clatter.
Anyway I ran upstairs and he was stood there mouth open and white as a sheet.
Apparently his laptop had literally flown across the room.
Now I thought oh yeah, he's got his foot caught in the cable and it's flown across the room. However the cable was downstairs. it was really weird.

Regularly lights come on or go off unexplainably.

Anyway, today, Becca was growling at the stairs door which is unusual, as I had just been filming tilly I had the camera and so vided it.
Normally if you open that door Becca is up there in a flash quickly followed by Bumpy and Luna, day or night, but all three were very cautious and really did not want to go up.
Anyway here is the vid.
Normally they pile up the stairs straight into my room and dive on the bed, but today they just did not want to go in there.
Here is the vid:

That's odd! I believe in ghosts to some extent. I myself have witnessed very unusual things that I could never figure out. But that house is creepy! My dogs, especially my pitbull are never scared of walking past anything. If something catches them off guard all I have to say is come
On, youre okay. And they continue
To walk. But not near that house.

Lol! Yeah I keep treats in my pockets when we go for walks. They had no
Interest in them at all...lol. Wouldn't even attempt to smell them. They were that scared of the house.

The music & movie, is one of my all time favorites.
- sure to put your Pitty Cash & yourself, in the right frame of mind // to enter the deserted house, in the pitch dark of night...he-he.
(DON'T BE SCARED...a murder house, is only speculation)

The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (1966) Part 1 The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (1966) Part 1 - YouTube
Luther Heggs (Don Knotts) is a typesetter at a newspaper who longs for a chance to be a reporter. Editor Beckett (Dick Sargent) gives Luther his big break and assigns him to spend the night in a house generally considered to be haunted. The situation allows a broad canvas for Knotts to react to sight gags with the special brand of eye-popping nervousness that made him a star. Former Playboy Bunny Joan Staley plays the pretty girlfriend of star reporter Ollie Skip Homeier.

Hahaahahha, I literally just laughed out loud at this.

Christina93, just be careful. Sounds like they know something you can't see... maybe it smells. Meth lab is what popped into my mind. There was a house on the other side of town that would throw my dog off when we just drove by. Found out months later they were cooking. I know that sounds crazy... but I swear he could smell it.

Haunted is definitely another option.

Either way. Keep us in the loop. I want to hear about your ghosts.

It could be a meth house! The idiots behind us deal drugs. I knw where one of their meth houses is, about 5 houses down from mine. There family was murdered in it so now they deal and cook their drugs there. That also could be it!

I owned a house that was haunted once. It was a farmhouse dating back to before the English Civil War.
There were 3 ghosts within its wall. One would walk up and down the ploughmans stairs (house had 2 stair cases, one was for the household, one was for the servants, mainly the ploughman so he could get to his quarters). He also walked around the out buildings, predominantly in the Shire stables where we would tie the horses to groom them. As you did so you would see a shadow across the back of your hand, mimicking the motion of you grooming the horse.
The dogs would sometimes stand and growl at the wall where there used to be a door, (bricked up) then wag their tails as if they were acknowledging a friend.
The other ghost was of a woman, she would walk into my bedroom, go to the window look out and then leave. She would open the doors (they were latched) then close them, lifting the latch as she did so. She also would walk through my family room, (3 doors, one to the ploughmans staircase, second from the kitchen, third into the hallway. The second and third door opened different ways so it wasnt the wind that opened them. Besides you saw the latches lift.
The third ghost frequented the cellar, (not surprising, it was used as a dying room in the civil war and in fact we found skeletal remains in the flooring).

Matt, put the pennies back as best you can, they are an offering.

Sprinkle Fennel seeds in gap between floor and ceiling or spray fennel water on the stain this will prevent evil coming from it.

Grow Fennel in your garden to stop evil spirits coming in and place Fennel in your rooms to ward off the Poltergeistal activity aka computer flinging.

Burn Mistletoe in your hearth (if you have an open fire or log burner) as this will banish any evil spirits from your home.

Regards the house the dogs won't walk past, there could be a number of reasons, the seemingly most logical is it is being used to cook up drugs, whilst the most illogical in some peoples minds is that it is haunted or a portal to the other realm. What ever it is, I would steer clear, just in case.

Well it's funny you should say that because we had a big stand of fennel growing in the garden when we first moved in.
I cut most of it back.
There is no way to put the coins back.

Went into the house, no meth lab, no animal den. Everything is left there. Food, furniture, clothes, photos. Everything! Turns out the man who lived there died in 2001 ( I think in the home). He was a police and military officer. I found all his old documents, photos, uniforms and emblems. So awesome!! So many antiques, old photos. The house was absolutely amazing! spiders were EVERYWHERE! I was to find the mans wife ( or living family) and talk to them about it. I'd like to Live there lol. Weird huh, I just got an awesome feeling being there. Felt....peaceful..
